  Though I didn't go through the talk in its entirety, I jumped from place to place on each part. Actually, I found it on the level of entertaining. The speaker that is.

  That certainly made that public talk a little more tolerable considering the lack of real qualified seasoned speakers that are in the congregations now. Actually the speaker in the YouTube video had his material in his heart and spoke from it. You could tell. Quite unlike the many speakers now who are mechanical and textbook savvy on how they present their talks rather than letting the spirit flow from their lips.

  Bethel layoffs in 2008 - 300+ and counting

  from the mouth of one of the special pioneers assigned tour congregation:.

  at least 300 have been terminated from the us bethel branch in the first month of 2008, and she expects the number to increase.

  Does anyone know if these layoffs are only occuring in NY? What about other Bethel branches worldwide?

  A new "Revelation™" Book??

  just visited with my daughter and noticed a new paperback edition of the "revelation" book on her bookshelf.. i presume that this edition was updated for the current book studies?

  anyone confirm this?

  what were the differences?.

  The new paperback Revelation book with the "2006 printing" notice inside the cover does have the changes in them.

  In my current congregation, there are 5 elders for 50 publishers.

  Can you count a bible study with a 2 year old?

  according to my friend, an elder said he could count 4 hours a month and a bible study if he talked about jehovah to his 2 year old son.. this would go some way to getting in his 10 hours a month as the elder said to my friend "the co won't look at anyone whose hours are less than 10.".

  If the elder says to count these 2 year olds in along with the general attendance at the KH, then by all means they should be counted in as Bible studies. They can't have it both ways.

  Kingdumb Discomfort

  i have noticed that most kingdumb hells have had numerous comfort problems.

  one of the most consistent is that they are extremely dry at this time of year.

  i can remember when i had chapped hands, that it is always worse after sitting there for 2 hours.

  We have a septic tank for our Kingdom Hall. It is situated outside underground, though only about 10 feet from the main entrance doors. It reeks about half the time. Gastly sickening during the hot and humid summer months.

  I wonder if it is to keep the brothers/sisters from taking a break during the program by just lounging on the front steps.
